Here are some pictures my parents took when they visited recently. Easy to post…
Pics of Ethan
Here are some cute pics of Ethan that my parents took when they visited this past weekend for my dad’s birthday. Too cute not to post!

Great-Grandparent’s visit with Elias
Elias’s Great-Grandma Haynes and Grandpa Ted stopped by today to see Elias for the first time. Amazingly Elias was wide awake and content so they were able to see him in finest form! Most of the time he’s either sleeping, eating or fussing that he wants to eat, so the Great-Grandparents timed it perfectly to see him in a nice quiet alert. We were able to take some pictures of him with his eyes open too!!

Elias James Wilkinson
On Saturday, January 23, 2010, Laura and I were blessed with a second wonderful son. Elias James Wilkinson was born with a weight of 8lb 10oz, and was 21 3/4 inches in length.
Laura and her best friend Joyce both entered the hospital on Friday.
The next day, Joyce gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, and Laura gave birth to a handsome baby boy.
On Monday we were cleared to go home!
A-choo!!
Ethan’s newest favorite word/activity is repeating A-Choo!! and laughing hysterically…he seems to think it’s exceedingly amusing! Here’s a little clip of his newest pastime…
New Car
So we got a new car! It was kind of a spontaneous purchase, although we have been looking at cars off and on for a while now. We wanted to get a 7-seater AWD vehicle so that we could accommodate our new baby and Ethan along with a couple of other people (like my parents) if we wanted to go on a trip together or just get around without having to take two vehicles. So yesterday we bought a used 2004 Volvo XC90 T6 AWD. We found a relatively good deal and thought that we should take advantage while we had the opportunity. We don’t need it just yet, but we will soon, so it’s kind of nice to have it in preparation for our new little one. The Infiniti is becoming a bit cramped to say the least. I have to say though that it’s a bit of a shock driving the new Volvo in comparison to the Infiniti! I end up driving about 25 mph everywhere because it’s so big and the pick-up is so much more sluggish! But I guess ultimately that’s a good thing since I’m carrying precious cargo! I tend to be a bit of a speed demon in the Infiniti! But here are a few pics…
Fall Weekend
Finally it felt a little bit like fall this weekend and Dale, Ethan and I took advantage by taking several little trips around our local community. On Friday we went to Victoria Gardens for a little shopping and so Ethan could ride the train (which he loved!!). Saturday we headed up to Oak Glen for a picnic and some apple cider pressing and pumpkin crawling (that seems to be a new sport that Ethan has created). Sunday we headed up to the pumpkin patch to meet up with Noah and family for a jog and a wagon ride around the pumpkin patch, after which we headed down to Temecula to hang out with cousins Carrigan and Caiden and fam for some BBQ and some football. Overall we had a really nice weekend, packed full of fun, but oh so exhausting…especially for preggo here! But its so nice to actually be able to get out and about as a family now that Dale is finished with his MBA!! Yay! No more weekend marathon homework sessions…hallelujah!! So here are some pics from our fun weekend…

Boy number 2 is on the way!
So for those of you who aren’t yet aware, Laura and I are due to have another son in January! Laura’s dad arranged an ultrasound for us at his work on August 21, and the images we saw were incredible. Visually experiencing the development of my son inside the womb was one of the great experiences of my life, and hearing his little heart beat at 144 beats per minute took my breath away. At just over 19 weeks gestation he had already developed into a fine young Wilkinson! He is already making the Haynes-Wilkinson clan proud.
And finally, for those wondering what the proof looks like …
